Certified Tutor
My passion for helping students stems from years of working in educational environments where I've witnessed firsthand the positive impact of patient, creative, and well-structured instruction. I believe in nurturing a student's potential with personalized guidance and enthusiasm, which has been the cornerstone of my teaching style.
I currently serve as the Director of Education and STEM Coordinator at a STEM Tutoring Center. In this role, I oversee curriculum development, mentor fellow educators, and directly teach students from Pre-K through 9th grade in subjects such as math, science, reading/phonics, and writing. I also supervise academic and STEM camps, manage field trips, and ensure a supportive learning atmosphere for all students, including those with unique educational needs.
My academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Texas A&M International University, where I graduated Cum Laude and was a regular Dean's List honoree. My education provided me with a strong foundation in organization, communication, and leadership skills I consistently apply in my teaching roles.
Throughout my career, I've tutored K-12 students in math, reading, writing, science, and SAT prep, and even led afterschool programs like Little Medical School, where I taught STEM- based lessons to elementary students. My favorite subjects to tutor are math and phonics because they build critical thinking and foundational literacy, both of which are essential for academic success. I especially enjoy breaking complex concepts down into engaging, relatable lessons that build confidence and curiosity in my students.
