Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Seattle Pacific University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance and Music. As a student, I worked in the university's Research, Reading, and Writing Center as a writing tutor, helping freshmen through seniors with every step of the writing process. Since graduation, I've expanded my teaching experience into the elementary grades, leading and directing after-school programs in the performing arts. Though theatre was my collegiate area of study, I am most passionate about tutoring English. I love diving into all aspects of the writing process, whether it's big-picture research/thesis work or granular sentence/grammatical structure. It is my goal as a tutor for my students to take pride in their work, to discover their creative voice (even in the academic setting!), and to take away valuable and practical tools for future assignments across disciplines. In my free time, I enjoy playing trivia, reading, and trying new restaurants.
