I am a first generation college graduate. I have earned degrees from Cumberland Univeristy, Ashland University and Tennessee State. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History & Political Science with a focus on secondary education. I hold educational endorsements in History, Government, and English Language Arts for grades 7-12 and ESL/ELL as well as Educational Administration, for grades K-12. I have spend my extensive teaching career serving highly diverse learners. I am a certified ESL instructor. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, History and the foundations of language acquisition for multilingual learners of all ages. I believe that life is a journey, not a destination. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. Every day that we are alive, we should be growing and learning.

I enjoy traveling and visiting historical sites. I recently took up kayaking and adding looking for waterfalls to my list of favorite pass times. At home, I like to read and spend time with my black cat Draco.
