I am a recent graduate from Agnes Scott College, a Historically Women's College nestled in Metro Atlanta. I received my Bachelor of Science in astrophysics. During my time at Agnes, I worked on multiple research projects, both pertaining to astronomical dynamics/kinematics (my first project about stellar movement and my second about black hole evolution). I have spoken at multiple local symposiums about my research, which I feel very passionate about. I am currently continuing my educational journey, attending the Georgia Institute of Technology (AKA Georgia Tech) for my Master's degree in Earth & Atmospheric Science!
I'm a huge science nerd I own it! I feel called to science and I have a true passion for the subject (always have!). Given my astrophysics degree, I feel the most passionate about the subject of astronomy, with physics coming in close second!
I feel comfortable tutoring students in physical sciences of all grade levels, and lower to middle school sciences of all subjects (physical science, bio, Earth science, bring it on!). My passion for science and my constant curiosity has always driven me, and I aspire to help inspire those who need a little extra nudge to get to the finish line.
In addition to my excitement about helping others reach their scientific potential, I have always been an adept writer and speaker. Writing + science has always been my "thing". My experience through the AP Capstone program in high school, as well as my research and seminars in higher education have helped to hone my writing and speaking skills. I am a thorough and picky editor, and I enjoy the process of marking-up/editing so that the writing can reach its full potential sometimes you just need a second pair of eyes.
I aspire to always create a welcoming and comforting environment where learners feel as if they can make mistakes, ask questions, and express themselves freely!

My hobbies are that of a stereotypical grandma: I love to knit, crochet, and bake cookies. I am also a morning person; I love to go on nice, brisk morning walks with my big ol' dog, Suzy!
