Certified Tutor
I am a current high school teacher with a deep passion for helping students grow academically and personally. My commitment to education began early. I tutored peers and younger children throughout high school and later worked in a Montessori setting with Pre-K and Kindergarten students. Even while babysitting, I found myself naturally slipping into the role of tutor, using those moments to support early learning. These experiences solidified my belief that learning can (and should) happen anywhere, and that all students deserve patient, personalized support.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with minors in History and Gender & Sexuality Studies from Loyola University Maryland, and I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree in Teaching at my alma mater. My academic background fuels my interest in working with young people and understanding how they learn best, particularly in subjects like psychology, history, and government. I also tutor elementary English and math, and I love finding creative ways to make foundational skills stick.
My favorite subjects to tutor are government and civics because I enjoy showing students how the systems we study impact their daily lives and future decisions. Psychology is another favorite, as it allows me to connect my academic training with my passion for understanding and supporting adolescents. My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are, celebrating their progress, and creating a space where curiosity and confidence can grow. I strive to make each session engaging, supportive, and student-driven.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, traveling to new places, and spending time with my two dogs and loved ones.

When I have time away from work and school, I love to read outside or play with my dogs! I also enjoy watching football and baseball (Go Ravens and O's!). Traveling the world is a goal of mine, so whenever I have long breaks, I hope to be exploring somewhere new!
