Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Elizabethtown College and the University of Delaware. My undergraduate degree is a bachelor of science in molecular and cellular biology with a minor in chemistry. I have a master of science degree in immunology from the University of Delaware. For the past 17 years I have been a research scientist for top pharmaceutical companies Johnson & Johnson and Merck. What I offer is a strong foundational knowledge of biology with real world applications in drug discovery. In graduate school, I tutored hundreds of students in biology ranging from non-biology majors to advanced pre-medical students. My personal philosophy is that even the most complex subjects can be broken down into simple elements, therefore I do not strive to confuse or overwhelm a student with information. Everyone has unique learning styles, strengths, and weaknesses and I can adapt accordingly. Outside of my career, I am a busy father of two young children who I enjoy playing sports with and taking on trips.
