As a graduate of Western Governors University with a Bachelor's in Secondary Mathematics, and now pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, I bring a unique blend of analytical rigor, teaching expertise, and real-world passion to inspire others. Over the past three years, I've taught pre-algebra, algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, statistics, and precalculus in a seated high school classroom, fostering confidence in students tackling everything from linear equations to trigonometric identities. My goal is not just to teach math but to make it resonate, showing students how numbers dance in the world they love.

Growing up in rural Missouri, I found joy in sports, playing baseball, basketball, slow-pitch softball, and coed volleyball for over a decade. That same competitive spirit fueled my coaching career, where I've spent the last ten years mentoring junior high and high school athletes in baseball, softball, basketball, and track & field. Whether it's coaching a sprinter to shave 0.2 seconds off her 100-meter dash or guiding a triple jumper to a 9.2-meter leap, I thrive on helping others unlock their potential. These experiences taught me patience, adaptability, and the art of breaking complex challenges into manageable stepsskills I bring to every math lesson. I vividly recall a moment when a struggling algebra student, also a basketball player, lit up after I explained slope using the trajectory of a free throw. By connecting math to her passion, I transformed her perspective from frustration to fascination.

Beyond the classroom and field, my hobbies in agriculture and woodworking ground me in the practical applications of mathematics. Measuring angles for a woodworking project or calculating crop yields on a farm, I see math as a universal language that bridges theory and reality. These pursuits have honed my ability to relate abstract concepts to tangible experiences, whether tutoring calculus 1 or explaining statistics through batting averages. My current studies in Data Analytics further deepen this connection, equipping me to analyze patterns and drive insightsskills I'm eager to apply in education, coaching, or beyond.
