I am a strong, theory-minded student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Drexel University, with minors in Mathematics and Political Science. I tutor algebra, introductory calculus, and computer programming at the high school level and am passionate about helping students understand not just how to do math or program but also why things work the way they do. As a result, my teaching style is a theory-based, proofs-first method similar to what you might find in a college math class.
My favorite subjects to teach are probably the basic building blocks of calculus. It gets somewhat of a bad rap since it's taught mostly at the college level, but on a conceptual level, it's actually quite simple! The way all of the different elements fit together to create an incredibly diverse and fundamental branch of math is quite beautiful.
Outside of math and programming, I am an avid gamer. Some of my favorite games include grand strategy games such as Europa Universalis IV, JRPGs such as the Persona franchise, or classic role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons.
