I recently graduated from McMaster University's Chemical Engineering program and am currently pursuing a master's degree at the University of Toronto. I am very passionate about helping students become more confident in their mathematics courses because I was in the same boat not too long ago! During my engineering degree, I got plenty of math practice, and I enjoyed helping others practice too during one-on-one sessions. Being a student myself, I have a good idea of what can be confusing, and how to explain it understandably. In the past, I have tutored Grade 11 Chemistry, Grade 11 Functions, and Grade 12 Advanced Functions, and I have seen drastic improvements in my students' grades and confidence. I am most passionate about math and science courses because I love to help students understand the world around them better. In my experience tutoring math, the best way to learn is by solving problems. For this reason, depending on the student(s) needs, I like to keep the topic introductions short and dive right into problem-solving if possible. In my spare time, I enjoy music, live theatre, and being outdoors!
