Certified Tutor
I am a Nanotechnology Engineering graduate with a minor in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Waterloo. My academic journey has given me a deep appreciation for how science explains the world around us and the tools to share that knowledge with others in meaningful ways. I'm passionate about helping students develop confidence in STEM subjects by turning complex topics into clear, approachable ideas.
I have experience working with a wide range of learners from peers in university study groups to younger students seeking foundational support in biology and chemistry. I particularly enjoy working with high school and college-level students, helping them not only improve their grades but also build a stronger understanding of the material and its real-world relevance.
I tutor biology, chemistry, and general math, and I especially enjoy teaching biology. The subject brings together intricate molecular processes and big-picture systems, and I love showing students how these ideas connect whether it's explaining cell division or making sense of metabolic pathways. With a strong foundation in chemistry from my engineering degree, I also enjoy helping students tackle challenging topics like chemical bonding, reaction kinetics, or organic chemistry concepts.
My tutoring style is patient, interactive, and personalized. I believe in meeting students where they are and building a supportive space for them to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I focus on active engagement, using clear examples, visual explanations, and real-world applications to make each session productive and motivating.
