I am an incoming fourth-year senior at the Ivey Business School, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Before joining the Ivey program, I spent two years studying economics, where I developed a strong foundation in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and calculus. These subjects shaped the way I think helping me approach problems logically, work through challenges step-by-step, and always stay curious about how the world works.
I'm passionate about helping students because I understand how rewarding it can be when a difficult concept finally makes sense. I've been through that process myself, and I love being able to guide others through it turning confusion into confidence. To me, tutoring is not just about learning formulas or definitions, but about building a deeper understanding that stays with you long after the session ends.
I've worked with both high school and university students, tutoring subjects like math, economics, and SAT prep. Economics is one of my favorite subjects to teach because it connects directly to everyday life from grocery prices to global trade. I always try to bring in real-world examples that make abstract ideas feel more tangible and relevant.
My tutoring style is relaxed, encouraging, and flexible. I adapt to each student's learning style whether that means breaking things down visually, talking through examples, or doing practice problems together until it clicks. Above all, I try to create a comfortable space where students feel supported and confident asking questions.
Outside of academics, I play piano, hockey, and have a deep appreciation for the arts whether it's painting, live music, or film. I believe having a creative outlet helps me bring energy and balance to everything I do, including tutoring.
Let me know if you'd like a version that emphasizes one subject more, or includes a bit more detail on your tutoring experience!
