I am an undergraduate at The Ohio State University studying chemical engineering. Previously, I have worked at Dr. Hay-Oak Park's molecular genetics laboratory as an assistant, and now I am working with Dr. Esperanza Carcache de Blanco at her Medical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy research laboratory. I have also tutored 4th and 5th-grade math for two years during high school. As an undergraduate, I am tutoring fellow college students in general chemistry. Since childhood, I've always been a lover of math and science. However, I began to notice how my peers increasingly disliked STEM courses as we grew up, and that the majority of students who dislike STEM courses struggle academically in those subjects.
I believe that if we help students to understand these subjects conceptually and develop habits to think like a scientist/engineer, then the students will be more motivated in these subjects rather than being lost and discouraged.

In my spare time, I like to play tennis, work out, play cello, or play video games. I also love drawing, painting, jewelry making, and overall arts and crafts! Currently, I am interested in studying and researching nanoparticles at Dr. Carcache's laboratory.
