I'm a passionate and patient tutor with over 15 years of experience helping students succeed in Math (through Calculus), English Language Arts, test prep, and college/career readiness. I especially love supporting diverse and underrepresented students and believe that learning should be both empowering and accessible to everyone.
My journey in education started earlyI discovered my love for reading in first grade, and I've been hooked on learning ever since. Over the years, I've primarily worked with high school students, guiding them through academic challenges and college prep, but I've also had the joy of teaching learners of all ages. What keeps me going is the opportunity to build strong, supportive relationships where students feel safe asking questions, exploring ideas, and growing at their own pace.
I earned my high school diploma from Nogales High School, an Associate of Applied Science from Pima Community College, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona. I'm currently working toward a Master's in Education at Northern Arizona University to deepen my skills and broaden my impact.
Math is my favorite subject to tutorI love it because it feels like solving puzzles, and there's nothing better than seeing a student's face light up when something clicks. My teaching philosophy is simple: meet students where they are, support them with empathy, and celebrate every winbig or small. My hands-on, interactive approach helps students build real confidence, not just better grades.
Outside of tutoring, I'm a proud cat mom who loves crafting, movie nights, and relaxing with Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
