Certified Tutor

I am 1 of 6 2024 Outstanding Graduates from ASU's Barrett Honors College, and spent the duration of my undergraduate career tutoring and teaching peers. I graduated with a bachelor in psychology and a minor in sociology, and am currently earning my masters in psychology en route to a PhD. I have tutored various psychology/social sciences and research/statistics courses as an undergrad teaching assistant, but my primary subject of tutelage is English writing and composition at all skill levels. As a national merit scholar, I am also qualified to help students prepare for the ACT and SAT/other standardized assessments. My teaching philosophy is one that centers the student and frames learning as a collaborative process; I hope to build holistic growth in my learners through a personal relationship, dialogic processes, and lesson plans that prepare the tutee for success by meeting them where they are and tailoring sessions to their individual needs and learning styles.
