I believe my diverse experiences in athletics, research, clinical settings, and volunteer work make me an ideal candidate to be a tutor. As a Division 1 swimmer at Georgetown University, I developed discipline, time management, and resilience, which helped me achieve success and foster a supportive team environment. This ability to motivate and encourage others is key in guiding students through their academic challenges.

My research fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz honed my critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as I worked on complex scientific projects. This experience enables me to break down difficult concepts for students, making them more accessible and understandable. Additionally, my clinical shadowing at the University of Louisville taught me the importance of clear communication and empathy, skills that are vital for effective tutoring.

As a Biology Major Mentor at Georgetown, I provided guidance to freshmen, helping them navigate their academic journey. This role strengthened my ability to offer support, share insights, and foster confidence in others. My volunteer work with Crisis Text Line and as a Morgan's Message Ambassador further developed my active listening and empathy, ensuring I can create a safe and encouraging space for students to learn.

Finally, my leadership experience with NOLS Alaska, where I led a wilderness expedition, taught me how to guide others through challenges and foster teamwork. These experiences have equipped me with the patience, communication, and leadership skills necessary to be an effective and supportive tutor. I'm eager to help students not only grasp difficult material but also gain the confidence to succeed on their own.
