Sitting through high school science and math classes on a Friday afternoon was probably the ultimate test to my willpower and attention span back in the day. The monotone drone and vague, meaningless speeches that lulled me to sleep is what I aim to eliminate during my tutoring sessions!
As a chemistry specialist doing a minor in creative writing at the University of Toronto, I have plenty of experience with subjects such as Precalculus (10-12), physics (11-12), chemistry (10-12), and music (all RCM levels and theory). I also offer services in both Mandarin and English if you're a fellow immigrant like me! My experience in tutoring ranges from my personal life with my little siblings to teacher assisting science, math and music classes in High school. One-on-one sessions is my specialty so you're in good hands. If there's anything I've learned from handling youths and being a high school graduate myself is that it can be incredibly stressful dealing with academia on your own, especially during post-secondary application season. As your tutor, I can promise individualized educational support as well as a non-judgemental, empathetic learning environment, where your experience and improvement is prioritized! I encourage you to ask questions and shoot me a message anytime, even just to say hello!

Outside school, I love to paint and play the piano and I can usually be found laughing at my own unfunny jokes. I’m a big reader, so don’t be afraid to update me on a book or movie you’ve been into. Aside from playing the piano, I also play ukulele and bass clarinet (though at times I find myself hearing my neighbours complaints over my attempted version of Bohemian Rhapsody). I’m a big music lover and I recently got Spotify premium to show for it and let me just say: it has been the best decision of my life.
