I am a graduate from Grand Canyon University, where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Currently, I am pursuing my Master's of Education in Elementary Education, which I find incredibly fulfilling. I am deeply passionate about teaching and tutoring because I genuinely enjoy witnessing students grasp new topics and being a part of their learning journey. My experience includes serving as a substitute teacher at two elementary schools for 3 years, followed by 3 years as a preschool teacher. Currently, I am a 4th-grade teacher and have been in that position since January of last year, which has been very rewarding. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I also tutor elementary math, reading, and grammar. I have a particular passion for teaching math due to the variety of strategies students can utilize to solve problems effectively. Reading and grammar are also close to my heart, especially since I am an author, and I take great joy in watching students develop fluency and comprehension alongside their grammar skills. I would describe my tutoring style as hands-on and interactive. I enjoy taking notes with my students to ensure they understand the material on a level that resonates with them. Afterward, we engage in discussions to explore why a specific answer is correct. Outside of academia, I cherish spending quality time with my family and dedicating time to my writing projects.
