I am a passionate English Language Arts tutor with more than 20 years of educational experience as a dynamic Literacy Coach, as an effective classroom teacher, and as a high-quality caring tutor!
I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL and a Specialist's degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. My expertise is in the "Science of Reading" with emphasis on oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and test taking skills/strategies!
I have a stellar track record of improving students' overall test scores by implementing evidence-based strategies and with differentiated personalized instruction in all settings from elementary school, middle school, and high school.
I strongly believe that learning should be engaging and I utilize various teaching methods to ensure lessons are interactive and fun.
My passion for literacy goes beyond developing students' reading and writing skillsit's about fostering a love for learning and enabling students to become confident, lifelong learners.
