Certified Tutor
believe that every student has a unique learning style, and I am passionate about tailoring tutoring to meet each individual's needs. Through one-on-one or small group sessions, I aim to create an environment where students feel supported, inspired, and capable of achieving their goals.
My tutoring experience includes guiding my younger brother through middle and high school subjects such as English, history, and psychology. In high school, I worked with the Read Alliance program to help K-3rd grade students improve their reading skills and gain confidence. I've also spent summers as a camp counselor at a tech-free camp in New Hampshire, and more recently, I helped international students in NYC learn English through immersive cultural experiences.
As a Political Science and Spanish double major, I look forward to helping students struggling in those subjects, but I particularly enjoy working with students on writing assignments, such as personal statements and creative projects. I find it incredibly rewarding to help students discover their unique voice and express themselves through prose. I also enjoy supporting musically inclined students, especially singers, in building their confidence, repertoire, and performance skills.
Patience and creativity are at the heart of my teaching philosophy. I strive to create a personalized and engaging experience for each student, ensuring that progress is both effective and enjoyable.
Outside of tutoring, I'm an active runner training for my first half marathon. I play jazz piano and sing in my school's jazz vocal ensemble. I also love hiking, skiing, and perfecting the art of pour-over coffee.
