I have enjoyed helping students learn and grow for the past 25 years in a Special Education setting. I have tutored students both on line and in person in subjects such as US History and Government, Global History, and New York State Regents test preparation. When I tutor, I first try to determine the needs of my students, and then collaborate with them to develop the best approach to meeting their needs and achieving their goals.
I have a BS degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from The State University of New York College at Buffalo, and a MS degree in Special Education, also from Buffalo State College. I am very successful when tutoring social studies subjects, but I also have experience teaching high school English Language Arts. Outside of teaching I enjoy spending time outdoors, and traveling. I love books, and read whenever possible.
