Certified Tutor
I hold a Master's in Special Education from Point Loma Nazarene University and am currently working on my PhD in Education Policy, Leadership, and Management from Walden University. I also received a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Tourism, and Management from California State University Northridge. My experience includes teaching general education students as well as mild, moderate, and severe special education students. I have been an educator since 2017 and have taught grades K-3 and 6-8. I have taught in public, private, and international school settings. Education is most rewarding for me when I am able to help students gain problem-solving skills and make connections in their learning. These concepts can be applied across a wide variety of subjects. My favorite subject is History, and I enjoy incorporating social studies and science into reading and math when appropriate. I believe that every student has the capacity to learn. As an educator, it is my job to help students discover how they best learn and then use those skills to expand their knowledge. I am a lifelong learner myself and hope to pass on that love for learning to my students. In my spare time, I love to travel, engage in new cultural experiences, play board games, and plan parties/events.
