Hello! My name is Priyanka Khemraj and I am very excited to be joining the Varsity Tutors team to assist other students in their academic journey! Throughout my own academic career, I have had the opportunity to excel in many core science courses including biology, chemistry, physics, organic chemistry, physiology, anatomy and exercise physiology during my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Science at York University where I graduated summa cum laude. This experience developed a passion for human health and the generation of scientific data which encouraged me to complete a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Science where I completed my thesis on investigating the effects of muscle use and disuse on innate immune signalling. In this role, I also gained various teaching experiences as a lab instructor, course lecturer, and grader for various biology and kinesiology courses where I worked with diverse students and faculty to create productive course environments. Overall, I hope to use my love for science and my own experiences as an undergraduate, graduate and now incoming medical student to help other students excel in their academic careers!
