I have a Masters in Education for Sustainability from Cape Breton University, and a Bachelors in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a focus in Math, ESL and English. I have been teaching internationally for 13 years, in different cultural and societal contexts. This has given me the opportunity to work in more diverse settings with students who have a wide range of needs and interests. In addition, all the schools I had the privilege of teaching in where International Baccalaureate (IB) schools, meaning our focus has always been on inquiry based learning, putting the student at the center, and supporting students in becoming proactive, well rounded global citizens. I am dedicated to fostering the holistic development of students as individuals, encouraging them to explore and cultivate their unique skills and talents within real-world contexts, thereby fostering a sense of purpose, belonging, and, ultimately, fulfillment. Although I enjoy teaching a wide range of subjects, I specialize in English, ESL and math with students between ages 6-15 years old.
