Certified Tutor
I teach! I am a special education K-12 teacher, and I am a certified Master Public Health educator. I have had the privilege of identifying the innate abilities in my students, teaching them basic academics, life skills and job skills tailored to those abilities. I have also been privileged to identify health, safety, behavior and community needs within numerous communities, developed programs that educate the community members to be able to overcome challenges, and have implemented and evaluated these programs. I see potential. I see the ability, not the disability.
I am a Doctor of Nutripathy, the study of nutrition. I received a Bachelor of Body Science and Dr. Nutripathy from the American College of Nutripathy (no longer in existence). In addition I received a Associates of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education, Masters in Public Health (MPH), completed a 1 year special education teacher credential program, and completed all but the dissertation for a PhD in Public Health, Community Health Education. I was unable to complete my dissertation due to prolonged family illness and then personal cancer. When I re-enrolled to complete the dissertation I was informed that I had to retake 8 classes, and other requirements I had already completed. The cost was more than I could afford.
I also write. I have several articles that have been published in tobacco control. I wrote a book for adolescents with special needs with an Autistic student. The book was published. I am currently researching for a book I intend to write about the untapped potential of people with developmental disabilities and special needs.
I am a mother, step-mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I have a red healer and 3 cats. I downsized almost 2 years ago. I live in an RV and love the freedom the RV lifestyle offers. I love to travel, see and learn new things. I love Ireland and all things Nortic. I love History, especially the middle-ages. You don't know who you are if you don't know where you came from.
