I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I'm a current sophomore studying Biomedical Engineering on the pre-med track at Cornell University. I first got interested in STEM through math league in 3rd grade. During my first club meeting, they talked about pi and how it was known to be irrational because it had no finite value its decimals being infinite. A friend of mine knew the first 20 digits of pi and started reciting them. I was amazed. Ever since then, I've been amazed by science, and have specifically explored my interests in biology, chemistry, physics, and CS through microbiology, cancer research, AI imaging, and now BME device design. I have about 3 years of experience tutoring both privately and for Kumon. Through preparation for numerous standardized tests including AP exams, SAT, and ACT, I've learned proper test taking strategies that I hope to share with my students. Beyond this, I emphasize consistent practice problems that tackle not just memorization a problem solving mindset that provides a greater inherent understanding of the subject at hand.
