I am currently employed as an academic assistant at the Milwaukee Area Technical College, where I assist STEM students primarily with math and chemistry homework. Although I have a few years of tutoring and teaching experience, most of my professional and educational background is in geography and cartography (mapping). In 2021, I earned a B.S. from the University of WisconsinMadison, majoring in Geography, Cartography/GIS, and Environmental Studies. After working as a GIS Mapping Technician for a year, I earned an M.S. in Geography from the University of WisconsinMilwaukee in 2024. My favorite graduate school experience was being a teaching assistant, especially for intermediate cartography. That, along with my other positive experiences tutoring middle schoolers through college students, is why I am now an educational assistant and Varsity Tutor. Students consistently note my down-to-earth demeanor, honesty, and passion when describing my teaching style.
