Alexandria: Crest Hill tutor
Certified Tutor
Growing up surrounded by educators, I developed a deep appreciation for learning, but as a first generation college graduate, I know there are plenty of challenges while navigating education.
My family instilled a love for research and exploration, so I naturally leaned into teaching science. I taught IB Biology for 3 years and enjoyed helping students understand complex concepts and develop their own intellectual curiosity. I also offered tutoring for Math during this time, supervised multiple IB Extended Essays, and took on a summer English teaching position.
I strive to create a supportive and understanding environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and taking risks. Empathy plays a big role in my teaching style: education doesn't live in a vacuum that isn't impacted by family, friends, health, hobbies, or time. My goal is to not only help students achieve their academic goals but to also foster a sustainable, lifelong passion for learning.

During personal time, I enjoy swimming in the nearest body of water, drawing portraits, reading, and catching up with friends or family over home cooked meals.
