I graduated with a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Biola University and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California. This was no easy task, so there is no way I would have been able to do well without the help of my very patient and attentive tutor. I am proud to have graduated summa cum laude and acknowledge that my tutor played a major role in my accomplishment. When I tutor, I empathize with my students because I see myself in them and I strive to be a light to them like my tutor was to me.
I have experience tutoring high school students in pre-calculus and physics, but I am well versed in various other levels of mathematics. I provide a thorough explanation of the material before walking through several examples and going over homework problems. I understand some students are hesitant to ask questions, so I am sure to inquire about their comprehension at several points throughout the lesson. Once their graded assignments are returned, I will explain where mistakes were made and what the correct approach was. Before quizzes and exams, I like to not only go over provided review materials, but also see if the student is able to walk me through the previous homework problems where points were lost. Assessing their ability to correct these mistakes allows me to track their progress, as well as observe if there are any areas where I can improve as an instructor.
