Certified Tutor
I work in education because I love helping students succeed. I especially enjoy explaining difficult concepts so that people can understand them. I received my bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Math from Brigham Young University (BYU), where I also earned a JD. After practicing law in D.C. for several years, I moved to Arizona and now direct law student advising at Arizona State University while pursuing a PhD in Complex Adaptive Systems Science. I have helped students from high school through graduate school to get past obstacles and obtain their goals. My favorite subjects to teach are those that students tend to fear the most, such as math, science, and law. And that's because there's nothing quite like the feeling of accomplishment that comes from conquering a difficult challenge. My personal teaching/tutoring style is to give students the tools they need and then try not to get in their way. When not working or studying, I'm usually reading, hiking, or playing with my kids.
