Certified Tutor

I am graduated from the University of Iowa earning a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. I then earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Puget Sound. I have been a physical therapist in the outpatient setting for 21 years. I have owned my own practice for 15 years. Since graduating from PT school, I have earned 2 nutrition certifications (Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Human Potential Institute) as well as an MBA from Quantic University. I love the learning process, and have always considered myself a life-long learner. I have a strong desire and intention to have the ability to convey difficult concepts in the subjects I teach in a way that maximizes student understanding that goes beyond just memorizing and regurgitating information. My biggest goal is to help my students learn to use all their available skills to solve problems and gain understanding in whatever subject they are learning. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, signing in a band, and being outdoors.
