Certified Tutor

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, obtained from Broward College and Florida Atlantic University. I've tutored extensively over the years (mostly in math), before, during, and after attending college. I've tutored school-age students as well as young people that I know personally. I tutor in all mathematics subjects K-12, all English Subjects K-12, and French I.
My favorite subject to tutor is Mathematics because I remember how my entire outlook changed once I started to grasp it, so I always hope to achieve the same thing in my students who may be intimidated by it. I always start my tutoring by getting a feel for where the student is. When they show me the problem they are working on, I ask them what they have tried to do so far. From there, I'm able to glean what the student needs help with and I choose the best approach to target that.
Outside of tutoring, I love knitting and crocheting, reading, studying French, and gardening.
