I am a graduate of New York University twice over, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2019, and a Master of Arts in Economics in 2024. I was a teacher in Brooklyn for a couple of years, where I taught Math to 5th, 7th and 8th graders, and while pursuing my MA in economics I worked as a Teaching Assistant at NYU. I mainly tutor a focused range of subjects, as I am most passionate about Math and Economics. I believe that many students are dissatisfied with Math because they have not yet found the right teacher, and I try my hardest to make my lessons engaging and applicable to the real world, and I find it is easier when we all try to have some fun as well! I am originally from Brazil, and I know from experience how helpful education can be for advancement in life, and I will always try my best to share that with my students. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and baking, and am a huge soccer (or, as we would say, football) fan, as any good Brazilian would be.

Hobbies

I would say that cooking and trying out new recipes are my favorite hobby, and it’s something I always look forward to on the weekends. I also love watching soccer/football with my friends (I am a Liverpool FC fan), and enjoy playing a game when I can as well. I enjoy painting in my spare time, and have some supplies in the house for when the inspiration strikes me, but I would not say I am very good at it unfortunately. I like going for fairly long walks when I can, as I can listen to some music, get some steps in, and bask in the sun if the weather permits. I am also something of a film buff, and love talking about them at length to anyone who will listen. I prefer to read non-fiction books for the most part and find books about economics to be the most interesting. which makes me fairly boring! I am currently reading a biography of Socrates, a Brazilian soccer player who was a pro-democracy activist in the 70s and 80s.
