Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the Community College of Philadelphia, where I earned an Associate of Arts in English. I am now a student at Drexel University. I am working towards a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Writing and a minor in Education. I am an avid reader and writer, and my favorite activity would be going to concerts for my favorite artists. My experience with tutoring has mainly been in the English field, but I am always open to expanding on that. I have worked with elementary-aged students on reading comprehension and phonics. I am currently on a 6-month internship working as an Assistant Teacher with toddlers and preschool students. I have assisted high school students in preparing for the Reading and Writing sections of the SAT. I have also helped students in essay planning, writing, and planning. Tutoring is a way for me to work with students in a collaborative learning environment. As someone who has received tutoring before, I know how hard it can be to reach out for help. Taking that step shows that you are committed to your learning, and it should always be encouraged. I look forward to working with students on improving and building upon the skills they already have. Every student is capable of achieving greatness, and deserves the support and tools to do so.
