Certified Tutor

As a student currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Health at the University of Southern California, I am aware of the pressures that come with being in school. I have helped tutor underrepresented students for the past four years both in my community and on online volunteer platforms. My primary concern is for students to gain confidence in themselves, and in the subject matter at hand. I have extensive experience tutoring middle school students algebra, trigonometry, social studies, science, reading, writing, and ESL. I also mentored and tutored a 2nd grade student for over a year and a half, assisting with phonics learning and speech development to prepare for state testing. My teaching philosophy is that students can attain any goal with enough motivation, the willingness to work hard, and by building good habits to apply to their future studies. As a seasonal employee, I am available to tutor until August 14th.
