Nikhil: Stockport tutor
Certified Tutor
I'm a passionate and results-driven tutor with a postgraduate degree in AI and ML, with relevant minors in Economics and Finance, and I am currently pursuing another degree in Computer Science at York University. Over the years, I've built extensive experience tutoring students at every stage, from high school to undergraduate (freshman, sophomore, and senior year) to graduate-level courses.
I specialize in a wide range of subjects, including:
Mathematics: algebra, functions, calculus, differential equations, geometry, trigonometry, linear algebra, discrete math
Statistics: descriptive and inferential statistics, probability, regression, hypothesis testing, econometrics
Economics: microeconomics, macroeconomics, game theory, international economics, economic policy
Finance: corporate finance, portfolio theory, derivatives, financial modeling, risk management
Computer Science and Programming: Python, C++, Java, SQL, data structures, algorithms, machine learning fundamentals
In my experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and Research Assistant (RA), I have supported professors on research projects while also leading tutorials, problem-solving sessions, and review classes. I guide students across different levels by breaking down complex concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations and connecting theory to practical applications.
I also have a strong background in exam preparationfrom high school exams and college midterms/finals to competitive exams like the SAT. I focus on helping students master challenging concepts, practice problem-solving strategies, and overcome the questions they find most difficult. My goal is not just to prepare students for exams but to help them build the confidence and skills to succeed beyond the classroom.
Outside academics, I'm passionate about photography, traveling, financial markets, reading, and music, which fuel my creativity and curiosity. I bring this same energy to tutoring sessions, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and capable.
Whether you're aiming to excel in class, prepare for a major exam, or strengthen your foundation in math, statistics, economics, finance, or computer science, I will guide you step by step toward achieving your goals.

Undergraduate Degree: York University - Bachelor of Science, Computer Science
Beyond academics, I’m someone who is deeply curious about the world. I enjoy photography, capturing moments that tell a story and encourage me to see things from different perspectives — the same way I encourage students to approach problems creatively. I’m passionate about traveling, as it allows me to explore new cultures and ideas, which helps me bring fresh examples and real-world connections into my lessons. My interest in financial markets keeps me engaged with current events and economic trends, which I often use to make economics and finance concepts more relatable for students. In my free time, I love reading across a variety of genres and discovering new insights to share with students. Music is a daily source of focus and inspiration for me, and I find that it helps create a calm and productive atmosphere — something I aim to bring into every tutoring session.
