I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I recently graduated from Phillips Academy Andover, a private boarding school in Massachusetts, and will attend the University of California, Berkeley this fall 2024. I hope to go into sociology and possibly political science, in hopes of finding jobs where I can work with people all around the world.

I'm passionate about helping teach students because I have worked with young students in summer camps and academic settings. I love to see them grow and have them challenge themselves to understand topics that are new to them. Although a lot of my experience working with not only younger kids but even those my age came from non-academic, administrative, and social leadership roles, I have still gained a lot of skills in being a leader and knowing how to bring a healthy and safe learning environment.

I enjoy teaching lesser-known topics such as language, early elementary English, and the arts that students would like to receive more education on. I also love to help high school seniors with college essays and application processes as I have been through just recently. I am open to experimenting with new topics and subjects if needed!

I am a very go-with-the-flow type of person so I hope to bring that to my teaching settings as well. If we planned to focus on learning a new topic but students had more questions than before, I would tailor each class time for the students to feel as if they are being heard and cared about their learning.

Outside of academics, I enjoy dancing, listening to music while walking outside, recently learning how to crochet (although I still need step-by-step instructions), and playing card games with friends!

Cannot wait to meet you all!
