I attended Princeton University for undergraduate and Rutgers for my master's degree and have a Master's in Finance. I have been tutoring since I was in middle school, and I've done tutoring on and off for 12 years as of now. My favorite subject to teach is and always has been chess, but since I started college I've expanded to SAT and ACT prep as well as college essay and general admissions coaching. For me, the most important thing in teaching is maximizing retention: I will make jokes and tell stories, "wasting" time during the lesson, to make sure that the important parts of what I say are engrained just as much as the nonsense. Unsurprisingly, I like to have fun when I teach and prefer a more casual teaching style with lots of conversation and back and forth questions and little lecturing.

In my free time, I play a lot of online chess and practice piano. I also do breakdancing with the local university crew since I hate going to the gym but need to be physical somewhere. In more recent times, I've also started to play RPG games, especially Baldur's Gate.
