Certified Tutor

I am an experienced Spanish teacher with seven years of dedicated service in education. Currently, I am pursuing a graduate degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Adolescent Education, complemented by a minor in Art and a certificate in Spanish Heritage Speaking. I am certified to teach in both New York State and Texas.

My teaching career spans four years in New York State, where I instructed students in grades 6, 9, and 10 across various courses including Spanish 1, 2, and 3, as well as Introduction to Spanish and French Culture. I have also taught for three years in Texas, covering grades 9 through 12 with a focus on Spanish 1 and 2.

On a personal note, I relocated from Puerto Rico to New York State at the age of nine, initially with limited English proficiency. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and frustrations students may face when learning a new language. I am committed to facilitating an engaging and culturally enriching learning environment for my students. My goal is to create dynamic and educational lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of each student. Most importantly, I aim to underscore the significant role of language in enhancing their future opportunities for travel and economic advancement.
