I have worked as a teacher in New York and Metro Nashville Public Schools for a combination of 10 years. My teaching experience includes K-8th graders. I have had the opportunity to be a classroom educator, STEM specialist, and EL specialist and provided multiple math, reading, and science interventions. I have experience working with students with diverse backgrounds and learning needs. I am certified as an elementary and special educator as well as an EL teacher. These varied certifications and experiences have allowed me to interact with and support children with various abilities in their lessons. My belief in providing education access to all students and collaboration with all my colleagues have resulted in gaining experience with behavior management strategies and differentiation skills. As an enthusiastic teacher, I'm dedicated to enabling growing young minds to achieve their goals. I'm confident my experience and teaching styles can make me an asset to your learning journey and help us work as a team to accomplish your goals.
I graduated from Providence College with a BA in Elementary and Special Education. Then received a Master's in Learning and Instructional Design from Vanderbilt University. Additionally, I received my ELL certification from Lipscomb University.
I have a passion for providing a fun, accessible learning experience in science, math, social studies, and English Language Arts in grades K through 8th. My specialty is providing differentiation to clarify the curriculum for all learners.
