Tiffany: Ypsilanti charter Township tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with concentrations in French and Spanish. As the daughter of an educator, I have always had a personal passion for academic success, and have actively engaged in helping students grow into their potential. I was a volunteer peer tutor as a high school senior, always helped my fellow undergraduate classmates, and tutored members of my church community after graduation. After a corporate career, I worked as a high school math and science teacher with a focus on algebra, PSAT prep, earth science, and chemistry. Many of my students were years below grade level, but I found ways to meet them where they were and teach them in ways they could understand. As a parent, I homeschooled our daughter from pre-kindergarten through second grade and have continued to nurture her curiosity for learning. While an area of study may not be every student's favorite, we can all learn something from every subject that helps form us into the people we are destined to become. I hope all my students--no matter their age--learn that they CAN do hard things! In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, cooking, watching documentaries, singing, and listening to music.
