Hello! My name is Latondra Ward, and I am thrilled to be your tutor, specializing in Elementary School English, Math, Reading, Writing, and Phonics. With over 20 years of teaching experience, including my current role as a kindergarten teacher and school test coordinator, I am passionate about helping students build a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy. I believe that every child learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to accommodate various learning styles, using engaging activities and technologies like PowerPoint presentations and videos. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring their abilities. I am dedicated to ensuring that my students not only succeed academically but also develop a love for learning that will last a lifetime. In addition to my educational background, which includes a Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development, I am also a licensed fitness instructor, allowing me to incorporate movement and wellness into my teaching approach.
