Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of East Carolina University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus in psychology. I received a Masters degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in School Administration. Since graduation, I have worked as a teacher, test coordinator and a digital learning specialist. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable growth) prepping for the Critical Reading and math standardized test. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. I have experience with students of all abilities including students performing below grade level. In my spare time, I enjoy reading which enriches my life, yoga, running, and playing with my dogs.
