I'm an aspiring actuary studying Applied Statistics and Actuarial Science at Purdue University. I started off teaching peers before getting a volunteer offer to tutor SAT Math at schoolhouse.org. Tutoring a class of 10 students, I was introduced to the world of teaching. Tutoring has a profound impact not only on my own academics but also my ability to connect with people. My goal is to provide every one of my students with a welcoming learning environment that encourages them to persevere through academic struggles, while also being a role model to students needing guidance on their educational journey. I'm most passionate about mathematics and statistics so this is definitely my favorite subject to tutor. I enjoy introducing new learning methods and encouraging my students to use critical thinking with active learning to best retain information! When I'm not in class or studying, I'm probably at the gym or hitting a local trail, as fitness has always been a lifelong hobby of mine.
