Certified Tutor

I am a current student attending the University of Akron, studying to attain my bachelor's degree in biomedical science along with a minor in Chemistry. Throughout high school, I had countless tutoring experiences. Most came from the multitude of Honor Societies that I was a member of but a tutoring experience that will always stick with me was my involvement in S.O.S. Children's Village. As a tutor in this village, I worked directly with a foster child facing multiple learning disabilities to help them improve their grades and helped their biological parents attending counseling sessions to provide the child a better learning environment. Some of my passions include English and a heavier preference towards Mathematics as I've found the most enjoyment in learning both of these subjects. My teaching philosophy is centered around mastery of a subject. To me, mastery in a subject means that the student can teach their peers the same subject with the same level of understanding that they have. If my student is able to do this, they have achieved mastery in my eyes. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the saxophone, hanging out with my friends, and watching tons of movies and TV shows.
