Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours Specialization in International Relations). Currently, I am working towards my Master of Arts Degree (History), also at Western. During my undergraduate studies, I was a peer mentor for other students and I informally spent a lot of time helping my friends and peers to excel in the classes that I shared with them. During my graduate studies, I have had two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant for a first-year history class (Wars that Changed the World). Being a Teaching Assistant has taught me a lot about effective tutoring strategies. It has given me experience working with large groups of students, creating lesson plans, and coming up with ways to make learning interesting and engaging. I am most effective at tutoring in person, but I have experience teaching online that gives me versatility.
