Hello!
I studied Spanish literature and linguistics at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico; and I have a diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language from the same university. I have been teaching Spanish to non-Spanish speakers for almost eight years, in person in Guadalajara, and online to students from all over the world. I have helped my students learn Spanish from scratch, to improve it, or even for their university exams or special certifications.
I love teaching grammar, as it is like playing with Legos, but I also love to use more playful, broad and inclusive methods to make the classes more complete. Generally, I have had private clients, so I have designed their classes from scratch and customized, but I also love teaching in groups, as the class becomes very nourishing with different points of view and practice. I love my classes to be fun and dynamic, because I faithfully believe that learning should be an exciting adventure every day, as we discover a little more of the world in each lesson.
As a child, I dreamed of becoming a Spanish teacher, and now I can say that I am fulfilling my dream. I love teaching my native language! It makes me reflect on my language and culture. So, in my classes, I like to share what I have discovered about this amazing language and, of course, about my Mexican culture.
