What I aim to teach?

I will be teaching Python Programming, and my sessions will be based on my own Python coursework and lecture notes from the University of Chicago's Master's Program in Computer Science. The coursework will be adapted to the requirements and level needed for the students to succeed.

What the students can expect to achieve?

Becoming comfortable and confident in writing Python code, as well as becoming proficient in programming in general. Learn essential software development skills, such as version control, testing, documentation, along with understanding the Python ecosystem.

Topics that can be covered (topics can be removed, and other suggested topics can be added based on request):

- Python Basics: types, variable, operations, control flow, iteration

- Functions, recursion, generators and scope

- Classes and objects

- Decorators and dynamic attributes

- Python Data Model

- Modules, packages, and distribution

- Testing, Debugging, Logging and Documentation

- Scientific computing and data manipulation (pandas, numpy, etc)

- Parallelism and Concurrency


Quick background on me:

I have a graduate Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Boston University. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Cloud Computing from Campbellsville University. I have close to two years of work experience at a health-tech startup Beats Health, where I was a software engineer as well as a founding team member. I have a good background in developing applications in Python as part of my startup, as well as several college projects.
