I received my Bachelor of Arts in elementary education with a focus on special education from Texas Tech University. I received my Masters degree in Teaching, Leadership, and Cultural Compentency from the University of Iowa Education Department. In the state of Iowa, I am certified to teach all subjects in grades K-6 and special education grades K-12. I have more than 30 years of experience teaching in public schools, grades 5-12. I am a student advocate who focuses on the individual needs of students to enhance student achievement.
