Gloria: Taunton tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a current student at Yale University studying biomedical engineering. I am also an athlete on their NCAA Division I track and field team. I was the valedictorian at my high school and have been featured on numerous news outlets for academic and athletic excellence, including CNN, ABC, the Sherri Shepherd Show, Good Morning America, USA Today, and more.
Being fresh out of high school, I understand what works best for students like you to learn best in the classroom and ace the various national exams.
My love for supporting my peers goes all the way back to my experience as president of the National STEM Honor Society at my high school, where I tutored middle schoolers in subjects including algebra I and II, geometry, trigonometry, biology, and precalculus. Moreover, I was the STEM lead teacher at NYC's most recognized engineering camp, NORY. I taught the "masters" classroom of children ages 8 and up high-tech engineering projects that included robotic pets, self-watering plants, laser tag backpacks, and considerable coding. More recently, I am a math coach for the MATHCOUNTS outreach program at Yale, where I volunteer in New Haven Public Schools.
I am passionate about helping you unleash your full potential in the classroom and on the national tests that are so integral in the admissions process. Being that I authentically understand the impact of educational support, I want to be the catalyst that empowers you to take charge of your educational journey without limitations.
