I have known that I would be a teacher ever since I was a little girl. I lined my stuffed animals up in a row and wrote out math problems that I solved myself just so I could grade them!

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Radford University in Virginia where I'm from originally. My undergraduate major was Elementary Education and my graduate major was English.

With 7 years of experience as an elementary educator, the best part about teaching is creating relationships with students in order for trust to be founded. When trust is there, the learning opportunities are endless.

I began my career with PreK, then taught 4th and 5th grade English Language Arts and Gifted Education for the remainder of my time in the in-person classroom space.

I taught adults online when I managed a team of health partners and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of remote teaching and learning.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing games with my daughter, walking my labrador retriever, watching movies, singing on my church's worship team, and family time.
